1. Flexibility in Cultivation and Harvesting
Control and flexibility in the growth environment and harvesting is critical. Our system utilizes a harvester that can be adapted to an extremely wide range of algae types.

The algae strain we are using has shown itself able to thrive in a wide range of temperatures, pH and salinities.

2. Long Term Biologic Stability
High productivity, profitability, and industrial relevance require uninterrupted operation. Threats of bacteriological infection, virus infection, weed algae invasion, and rotifer population explosions must be sustainably managed in order to provide industrial reliability energy and food source technology.

3. Efficient Temperature Control
Our hot houses are fitted with temperature controlled ventilation systems and the in ground nature of the ponds will allow thermal stability due to the soil insulation.

4. Functionally Unlimited Scalability
Our hot house pond system is infinitely scalable with land and water being the only restricting factors. Our current algae culture can tolerate a wide range of salinities and so gives us flexibility. We can use a high saline tolerant species in the same system so that even brackish or sea water would be suitable for use.

5. High Areal Light Productivity
Our systems are based on the concept of using the natural characteristics of the algae rather than artificially enhancing the algae to maximal performance. This requires far less infrastructure and intense monitoring.

6. Efficient Gas and Nutrient Management
We use a number of sensors to monitor and automatically control the addition of the various nutrient requirements including CO2.

7. Industrial Reliability
There is no room for unreliability or disruption due to weather, infection, regulation, terrorism, or scalability challenges. We believe that due to the modular nature of our designs that disastrous population crashes or similar problems will mean that only a small part of the system will be affected at any one time.

8. Deployable
By the use of non toxic locally endemic species, our systems pose no threats to the local environment.
